Job summary

Cisco is seeking a DevOps/Platform Engineer to deploy and operate enterprise-grade AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure for government-focused services. You will monitor deployments, troubleshoot complex incidents, and drive automation across cloud-native platforms.

You will collaborate with security and compliance teams to strengthen IAM, logging, and continuous monitoring while contributing to runbooks and incident reports for reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in CS/Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience, or Master’s with 3+ years.
• Software development or automation experience using Java, Go, Python or equivalent.
• Experience supporting cloud infrastructure, AWS and production services.
• Experience with Linux administration and troubleshooting in production environments.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, microservices, and IaC/automation (Terraform, Bash, Python, or Go).

Responsibilities

• Deploy, operate, and maintain AWS and Kubernetes-based infrastructure and microservices.
• Monitor service health and troubleshoot incidents in a 24x7 environment.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks and infrastructure provisioning.
• Strengthen platform security and compliance including IAM, logging, and vulnerability remediation.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and compliance to improve reliability and create runbooks and incident reports.
