Job Description

As an active member of the crew, you will assist in the setup (Load In) and breakdown (Load Out) of performances, prepare the theater for upcoming events (Changeover), prepare lighting plots (light hang), and perform a variety of maintenance and show tasks necessary to keep the theater operational and safe.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup (Load In) and breakdown (Load Out) of performances.
• Prepare the theater for upcoming events (Changeover).
• Create lighting plots for each event (light hang).
• Perform maintenance and show tasks to maintain a safe, operational theater.
• Serve the crew at multiple venues and spaces across campus.

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Qualification Requirements

• Backstage theater experience preferred.

Working Conditions

• Generally indoors in theaters, auditoriums, and backstage spaces at Tilles Center; loading and unloading of trucks outdoors in adjacent parking lots.

Materials and Equipment

• Basic hand and power tools (screwdriver, wrench), hand trucks, dollies, ladders, theatrical lighting and sound equipment; ability to lift 50+ lbs.

Salary: $17 per hour
