Southwestern Oregon Community College in Coos Bay is seeking a Student Worker to support the campus fitness center's front desk and facility operations. The role offers 3 to 20 hours weekly, split roughly half at the front desk and half on equipment and facilities tasks, promoting a welcoming, safe environment for students and community members.
Ideal candidates are degree-seeking, enrolled in at least 6 credits, with a minimum 2.0 GPA and eligibility for Federal Work-Study.
Provide current students and people from the community with a state-of-the-art Fitness Center offering a wide range of athletic equipment and activities for all fitness levels.
This position is only open to Student Workers
3 to 20 hours per week
Front Desk and Customer Service (50% of time)
Facility and Equipment Operations (50% of time)
Must be current degree-seeking student enrolled in at least 6 credits.
Must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0.
Must be eligible to receive FWS based on financial need and eligibility requirements determined by FAFSA.
Required Skills/Experience: Students in this job will need the following skills. You should be able to do these, or show that you can learn how (with or without reasonable accommodation):
Preferred Skills/Experience: Working knowledge of spreadsheets, word processors, and similar office applications.
