Middle Georgia State University is seeking a Federal Work Study Auxiliary Services Ambassador for a part-time, temporary role at MGA's multiple campuses. Middle Georgia State University (MGA), a multi-campus, baccalaureate and graduate degree-granting public institution, is the most affordable public state university in Georgia. MGA has five campuses-Macon, Cochran, Dublin, Eastman, and Warner Robins, all located in central Georgia-and global outreach through its fully-online campus. Its enrollment of 8,400 students is largely comprised of students from most of Georgia's 159 counties. The University has six academic schools, including Georgia's flagship aviation program, that support its mission to educate and graduate inspired, lifelong learners whose scholarship and careers enhance the state.
The Auxiliary Services Ambassador position will provide students with a unique experience of working with the development and implementation of marketing/activation programs and initiatives focused on engagement, outreach, and promotion with external campus partners such as Pepsi, Shamrock, A-Action, Elior Collegiate Dining, and Barnes and Noble. The position is a semester by semester basis and is compensated with university funds, including Dining and Duke Dollars.
Plans and Executes Programming with Student Groups (70%)
Develop and implement calendar of events on each campus during the academic school year engaging with students through sampling events and promotional programs
Coordinate with key campus groups (student life/ athletics/ etc.) engaging at key campus events and tabling such as Elior, Pepsi, Shamrock, A-Action and other vendors.
Oversee all execution of programs developed including set up, execution, and clean up
Maintain record of programs executed (including pictures) to report back to campus personnel
Conduct ¿secret shopper¿ mission events in dining halls, bookstore, retail and vending locations and other areas of campus that support Auxiliary Services.
Marketing and Communication (30%)
Promote/distribute all communication materials for each event including but not limited to print, digital, social media
Participate in monthly meetings with campus personnel to review programs executed, upcoming events, needs, etc.
Prepare summary report at the end of the school year; report annual results to campus personnel
