Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Training Facilitator to deliver instructor-led training for a Federal Government Client’s customized construction management system. The role includes virtual and in-person sessions for project managers, engineers, construction personnel, leadership, and external contractors, ensuring users gain knowledge to support deployment.

Travel is 100% and extensive; strong classroom facilitation, software training experience, and change-management skills are required to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 3 years of related experience may substitute.
• Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to travel extensively as required.
• Ability to work independently and within a geographically dispersed training team.
• Strong facilitation and classroom management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instructor-led training sessions in virtual and classroom environments.
• Follow approved lesson plans and instructional guidelines.
• Respond to participant questions and provide functional guidance during training activities.
• Maintain effective classroom management and student engagement throughout training sessions.
• Participate in Train-the-Trainer activities and knowledge transfer sessions.
• Coordinate with Training Managers and Program Managers regarding course schedules and logistics.
• Track attendance and course completion metrics.
• Support collection of student feedback and training effectiveness measures.
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement of training delivery methods and materials.
• Serve as a professional representative of the training team when interacting with Government personnel and external stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with personnel at all organizational levels.
• Support change management and user adoption efforts during CMP deployment activities.
