Job summary

HDR seeking a Federal Business Group Technology Director to drive a strategic technology vision across HDR’s multidisciplinary teams. You will lead evaluation of emerging tech, champion innovation, and align security, compliance, and data governance with Federal requirements.

You will collaborate with leadership across six Business Groups, Corporate Technology, and external stakeholders to deliver secure digital delivery, AI/ML capabilities, and scalable architectures for Federal programs.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise technology strategy for multidisciplinary engineering or professional services.
• 10+ years delivering technology solutions for Federal clients.
• Knowledge of Federal cybersecurity frameworks including NIST, RMF, FedRAMP, CMMC and CUI.
• Experience evaluating technology and software deployment.
• Understanding of a broad range of technologies and their delivery within Federal sectors.
• Experience in digital delivery, modeling, data architecture, data management, and cloud capabilities.
• Experience with AI/ML, BIM, cloud computing and integration with production software.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead evaluation of emerging technologies for Federal programs; establish KPIs for adoption and value.
• Drive innovation to enhance program performance, resilience, security, and compliance.
• Represent FBG in enterprise technology planning; align with security and accreditation requirements.
• Participate in HDR Technology Leadership Team meetings and drive technology adoption.
• Develop technology visions and roadmaps for Federal market sectors and delivery teams.
• Partner with Corporate Technology to ensure Federal compliant platforms and investments.
• Standardize workflows for digital delivery, data management, and documentation.
• Lead adoption of shared technology solutions, AI/ML, automation, and visualization.
• Guide proposals for technology investments to HDR leadership and clients.
• Define technology capability requirements to support Federal workloads and data protections.
• Support governance with a Federal compliance lens (NIST SP 800-53, RMF, agency requirements).
• Enable knowledge sharing across Business Groups; promote reusable solutions.
• Foster Federal technology talent and workforce development.
• Communicate strategies to Federal stakeholders to maximize ROI.
