Job summary

Rivet Operations Company LLC seeks a Technical Writer to produce and refine key deliverables for a CISA portfolio management effort in the National Capital Region. The role focuses on translating technical and policy content into polished, review-ready documents within a federal program environment.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree, 3–5 years of federal-writing experience, and strong MS Office skills. U.S.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and able to pass a High-Risk Public Trust background investigation.
• Bachelor's degree related to the field of work.
• 3 to 5 years of demonstrated experience as a technical writer or editor supporting federal programs.
• Proven ability to produce clear, professional documentation from technical, acquisition, or policy source material.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior experience within the Department of Homeland security with familiarity in cybersecurity is desired.

Responsibilities

• Support development and upkeep of the Project Management Plan and its supporting sections.
• Draft, format, and edit major deliverables.
• Prepare and refine status reports and meeting materials.
• Establish and maintain consistent formatting, templates, style, and version control across all documentation.
• Incorporate review comments and support quality control processes, ensuring deliverables are complete, accurate, and free of material errors.
• Handle and store Government information and CUI in accordance with DHS records management and information protection requirements.
