Job summary

Steampunk, Inc. is seeking a skilled Technical Writer to support a Federal Government client in Ashburn, VA.

You will develop user-friendly documentation, SOPs, CONOPS, test plans, and training materials for a design-led, cloud-focused environment. You will translate complex requirements into clear, concise documentation, collaborating with engineers and program managers to improve processes, ensure accuracy, and protect sensitive information in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience performing technical writing.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or with other team members to capture requirements and translate into technical documentation.
• Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Write and edit easy-to-understand documentation, online help, and guides for our Cloud design and developed vision.
• Demonstrate and expand on customer service skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and solve practical problems while handling sensitive information.
• Develop other supporting technical writing products as needed by technical teams and program managers.
