Job summary

Aikido is seeking a Solutions Engineer to empower our growing US public sector business. You will partner with sales to navigate federal procurement and guide technical validation within highly regulated environments.

You will translate complex product capabilities into clear value for government buyers, lead discovery and POC activities, and help move opportunities toward close with cross-functional support.

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years in a Sales Engineer/Pre-Sales role supporting US public sector sales motions (federal experience preferred).
• Strong technical foundation in cloud, DevOps, security, or developer tooling.
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and succinctly.
• Hands-on mindset; able to troubleshoot and dive into technical workflows.
• Comfortable in a highly consultative, non-standard sales motion.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to support US public sector opportunities, especially federal.
• Lead technical discovery, demos, evaluations, and proof-of-value activities.
• Translate product capabilities into value for government stakeholders and technical buyers.
• Support complex sales cycles involving procurement, compliance, and security requirements.
• Act as a technical partner throughout the deal cycle to move opportunities toward close.
• Work cross-functionally with internal teams to meet the needs of the specialized market.
