Job summary

Accelera is seeking a skilled Site Safety Officer (SSO) to oversee safety protocols at federal and government project locations. Qualifications

• OSHA 30-Hour certification is mandatory.
• SSH0 Certification to meet 29 CFR 1926.16 standards.
• 5+ years of federal or government safety experience.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Deep understanding of regional, state, and federal safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Execute and monitor safety protocols per OSHA and corporate guidelines.
• Conduct site evaluations and risk analyses to maintain a safe work environment.
• Maintain safety logs including training history and incident reports.
• Deliver safety briefings and educational sessions to staff and contractors.
• Analyze workplace incidents and near-misses to drive safety improvements.
• Ensure adherence to PPE mandates and safety laws by all personnel.
• Facilitate communication on safety enhancements between leadership and workforce.
• Collaborate with project leads and government representatives to ensure site compliance.
