Job summary

Doyon Management Services (DMS) seeks a Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) to provide full-time on-site safety and occupational health management at government-owned facilities and military installations. The SSHO will develop and review the Accident Prevention Plan, perform hazard analyses, and coordinate safety with the Site Superintendent and Quality Control Manager.

Required are 10 years of construction experience, 3+ years as federal SSHO, and a 30-hour OSHA construction safety class.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of construction experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a federal construction SSHO.
• Recent experience working on USACE and/or NAVFAC projects.
• 30-hour OSHA construction safety class.
• CHST certification preferred.
• Multiple safety certifications in areas such as fall protection, HAZWOPER, confined space, and related trainings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review the Accident Prevention Plan and AHAs.
• Provide on-site safety education and toolbox talks.
• Conduct daily site inspections and prepare safety reports.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety and health requirements.
• Maintain OSHA 300 log and safety reference materials on site.
• Lead incident investigations and enforce safety standards.
