Job summary

GCyber is seeking a Release Train Engineer to support a federal IT modernization program in a classified environment. The role focuses on enabling PI execution, optimizing flow, and ensuring consistent delivery of customer value across the Agile Release Train.

You will lead SAFe events and coordinate schedules across software, security, deployment, and release teams while coaching Scrum Masters and Product Owners. A TS/SCI clearance and DoD 8570/8140 certification are required.

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
DoD 8570/8140 certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP) required.
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
Eight to twelve years of relevant experience.
Full-time on-site presence at secure facility in Washington, DC will be required as program matures.

Responsibilities

Lead Agile Release Train events and Lean-Agile practices (PI planning, pre-/post-PI activities, system demos, Inspect and Adapt, Scrum of Scrums).
Coordinate software, architecture, test, security, deployment, and release schedules across teams.
Consolidate team PI objectives and maintain program-level objectives, dependencies, risks, and commitments.
Track feature and capability execution using Agile/DevOps metrics and communicate progress, risks, and release readiness.
Coach Scrum Masters, Product Owners, teams, and leaders in SAFe and relentless improvement.
Identify and escalate program impediments and coordinate mitigation of dependencies and risks.
Partner with program management, architecture, configuration management, test, cybersecurity, and operations.
