Job summary

Maximus is seeking an experienced Release Manager in Oklahoma City to coordinate enterprise software releases across multiple teams and value streams. The role requires ensuring governance, risk, and alignment with IT lifecycle standards in a federal-oriented environment.

The candidate will lead PI planning, manage dependencies, and work with Product Owners to deliver 3–6 month delivery plans while maintaining SLA and service continuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent).
• 8+ years of experience in IT service management, release management, or Agile program delivery roles.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL-based change and release management processes.
• Experience applying Agile and SAFe frameworks including PI planning and cross-team coordination.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the enterprise Release Manager, coordinating releases across multiple teams, value streams, and domains.
• Lead release planning, sequencing, and dependency management with integration to change management processes.
• Coordinate with the Configuration Change Manager to ensure governance and adherence to lifecycle standards.
• Facilitate Program Increment (PI) planning and coordinate 3-6 month delivery plans.
• Align release schedules with stakeholders, communicating readiness, outages, and deployment windows.
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies and resolve conflicts to maintain service stability and SLA.
• Synchronize release activities with incident management, operations, and disaster recovery stakeholders.
• Track release progress, risks, and performance using dashboards and SAFe metrics.
• Support Agile and SAFe practices across teams and improve release execution.
• Ensure release documentation and reporting are audit-ready and governance-compliant.
