Job summary

Base-2 Solutions in Maryland seeks an experienced QA Engineer to design and execute comprehensive test plans for system upgrades and new features. You will perform functional and regression testing of Java-based web apps, validate federal cybersecurity and accessibility compliance, and work with Windows Server environments.

You will also test APIs, manage defects, and contribute to UI automation and CI/CD pipelines with GitLab. Strong collaboration in regulated settings is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in functional and regression testing of Java-based web applications.
• Proficiency with defect tracking systems.
• Knowledge of federal cybersecurity requirements and government accessibility standards (Section 508/WCAG).
• Experience testing Tomcat, Oracle 19c, and SAP BI interfaces.
• Familiarity with Windows Server environments.
• API testing experience (Solr, RESTful services).
• CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for system upgrades and new features.
• Perform functional and regression testing of Java-based web applications.
• Execute manual testing for complex scenarios.
• Validate compliance with federal cybersecurity requirements.
• Ensure accessibility standards compliance (Section 508/WCAG).
• Test enterprise apps in Windows Server environments.
• Verify security controls and data protection measures.
