Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience on IT projects
• Clearance: U.S. Citizenship only with Public Trust level clearance or ability to obtain and maintain
• Education: Bachelor’s degree
• Direct experience testing APIs and web services
• Experience testing cloud-based technology (e.g., AWS)
• Experience developing and executing automated test tools
• Independent creation of test documentation (plans, test cases/scripts, reports)
• Experience in Federal government IT projects
• Strong client/stakeholder engagement and ability to work in complex environments
• Excellent written and oral communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work remotely and in-person in the DC area
• Executive presence, entrepreneurial spirit, strong work ethic, collaborative mindset, problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute functional, integration, and regression tests for web services and applications
• Perform manual and automated testing of APIs and web services (e.g., SOAPUI)
• Understand and support testing involving certificates, encryption, and secure communications (SSL/TLS)
• Validate system behavior against requirements
• Use SQL to validate backend data integrity
• Create comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts
• Develop and expand automated test suites to improve coverage
• Identify opportunities for test automation and scalable solutions
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and client collaboration
