Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer with strong UI testing expertise to ensure quality and compliance during modernization of a critical government information system. The role focuses on functional and regression testing of Java-based web applications, UI validation, accessibility compliance (Section 508/WCAG), and cross-browser testing.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in functional and regression testing of Java-based web applications.
• Strong UI testing expertise including user interface validation and cross-browser compatibility.
• Proficiency with defect tracking systems.
• Knowledge of federal cybersecurity requirements and accessibility standards (Section 508/WCAG).
• Experience testing Tomcat, Oracle 19c, and SAP BI interfaces.
• Familiarity with Windows Server environments.
• API testing with RESTful services and Solr.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for system upgrades and new features.
• Perform functional and regression testing of Java-based web applications.
• Conduct UI validation and cross-browser compatibility testing.
• Execute manual testing for complex scenarios.
• Validate compliance with federal cybersecurity requirements.
• Ensure adherence to Section 508/WCAG accessibility standards.
• Test enterprise applications in Windows Server environments.
• Verify security controls and data protection measures.
• Develop and maintain UI automation frameworks for regression testing.
• Perform API testing for backend services (Solr, RESTful services).
• Integrate automated tests into GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage defect tracking systems and coordinate issue resolution.
