Base-2 Solutions seeks a detail-oriented QA Engineer with strong UI testing expertise to modernize a government information system. You will focus on functional and regression testing of Java-based web apps, UI validation, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.

The role covers testing of Tomcat servers, Oracle 19c, and SAP BI interfaces, with API testing, CI/CD in GitLab, and strict cybersecurity and Section 508/WCAG compliance. collaboration with security teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in functional and regression testing of Java-based web applications.
• Strong UI testing expertise including user interface validation and cross-browser compatibility.
• Proficiency with defect tracking systems.
• Knowledge of federal cybersecurity requirements and government accessibility standards (Section 508/WCAG).
• Experience testing Apache Tomcat application servers, Oracle 19c databases, and SAP Business Intelligence interfaces.
• Familiarity with Windows Server environments.
• API testing experience (Apache Solr, RESTful services).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab.
• Excellent analytical skills and meticulous documentation practices.
• Strong collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for system upgrades and new features.
• Perform functional and regression testing of Java-based web applications.
