Octave Federal is seeking a Public Safety Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer to join our Federal sales team in the Washington, DC area. You will lead technical discovery, design end-to-end public safety architectures, and deliver tailored demonstrations that validate mission-critical capabilities for federal customers.

You will partner with Account Executives, collaborate with product and engineering teams, and travel up to 50% to engage with customers, partners, and events.

Qualificações

• 7+ years of experience with public safety technologies or mission-critical software.
• 5+ years in customer-facing technical roles such as Solutions Engineering or Sales Engineering.
• Experience supporting U.S. Federal Government customers and public safety missions.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts for technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Strong written communication and proposal/documentation contributions.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% to support customers and events.

Responsabilidades

• Lead technical engagement throughout the Federal sales cycle with Account Executives.
• Develop and deliver demonstrations, workshops, and proofs of concept for federal missions.
• Design and validate public safety solutions spanning dispatch, communications, and geospatial platforms.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, services, and partners to address technical questions and gaps.
• Support RFIs/RFPs and contribute to architecture documents and solution briefs.
• Provide enablement to the sales team and ensure repeatable, credible demonstrations.
