Job summary

Green Threads is seeking an experienced federal proposal writer to own the end-to-end response process for State & Federal solicitations. You will build content from intake to submission, ensuring compliant, compelling narratives that reflect GT’s capabilities and differentiators.

The role requires coordinating with SMEs, leveraging an enterprise content library, and producing executive summaries, past performance write-ups, and technical/management sections for RFPs and RFIs.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of federal proposal writing experience.
• Understanding of government solicitations and their structures, including Section L, Section M, and PWS.
• Strong written communication skills: clear, concise, and persuasive; able to make technical content accessible to evaluators.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word; working proficiency in PowerPoint for graphics and Excel.
• Self-starter: track your own work, own the tasks and monitor progress, and make reasonable decisions.

Responsibilities

• Qualify opportunities and assist bid/no-bid decisions with BD team.
• Identify solicitations (RFPs/RFQs/RFIs) and build the compliance matrix.
• Write the proposal: technical approach, management approach, past performance narratives, executive summaries.
• Own compliance end to end against Section L and Section M.
• Coordinate kickoff, schedule, SME coordination, color-team reviews, and submission.
• Interview SMEs and translate inputs into a compelling narrative.
