Job summary

FIS is seeking an experienced Proposal Writer to craft compliant, winning responses to state government RFPs in the United States. You will collaborate with sales, product managers, and subject matter experts to convert complex offerings into evaluator-friendly content while aligning with the RFP requirements and messaging.

The role involves coordinating messaging within a dedicated Response Center of Excellence, maintaining brand-consistent proposals, and meeting tight deadlines with minimal

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of demonstrated experience in proposal writing.
• Proven knowledge with large, complex proposals for state government RFPs.
• Government EBT experience.
• Experience with industry-standard proposal development processes.
• APMP or Shipley preferred.
• Experience using proposal platforms and AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Write creative, compelling, compliant and winning written responses to state government requests and solicitations.
• Work collaboratively as part of a writing team using a style guide to achieve a common voice, style, and message.
• Convert complex solution and technical information, jargon and acronyms into evaluator‑friendly, compliant content conveying sales messaging and win themes.
• Minimal travel.
