Job summary

Yates Construction seeks a Project Executive – Federal in Irving, TX to provide executive leadership for federal contracts, client relations, and project profitability across secure facilities. You will oversee multiple departments, ensure FAR/DFAR compliance, and manage a security-cleared program portfolio.

The role requires 15+ years in construction, 10+ years in leadership of large federal projects, and an active clearance.

Qualifications

15+ years of general construction experience.
10+ years in construction management leadership including large federal/defense/secure facility projects ($100M+).
Active Top Secret/SCI or Secret clearance (or eligibility to reinstate).
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering.

Responsibilities

Executive Leadership & Team Recruitment: recruit, assemble, and lead high-performing, security-cleared project teams and supervise project managers.
Project Acquisition & Business Growth: generate leads within federal networks, lead complex RFP/IDIQ/MATOC proposals, and negotiate contracts.
Pre-Construction & Start-Up: coordinate government estimate reconciliations, ICD 705, baseline scheduling, and turnover meetings.
Operations & P&L Governance: oversee federal project accounting, EVMS, forecasting, and profitability.
Client & Executive Relationship Management: serve as executive contact for contracting officers and stakeholders.
Lean & Safety Strategy: drive EM 385-1-1 compliance and Lean/Last Planner adoption.
