Job summary

CDM Smith in the United States seeks a Project Controls professional to manage project budgets, cost estimating, and scheduling for complex projects. You will develop cost baselines, track performance, and provide variance analyses.

You will work with project managers and field teams to ensure compliance with FAR/CAS and supporting audits, while delivering accurate reporting and continuous process improvements. This role requires travel and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cost control systems.
• Prepare cost and schedule estimates, analyze trends, and provide accruals, earned value, and variance reports.
• Establish and monitor baselines for cost and schedule; identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Support development and management of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and ensure progress reporting.
• Conduct cost and schedule risk analyses and assess impacts on budget and performance metrics.
• Prepare and present project performance reports including KPIs and forecasts.
• Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and field teams to track progress and manage change orders.
• Ensure compliance with FAR, CAS and reporting requirements.
• Assist audits, data validation, and documentation for transparency in reporting.
• Continuously evaluate cost controls processes and suggest improvements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
