Job summary

CDM Smith in the United States is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support construction projects across locations. You will develop and manage schedule and cost baselines, collect monthly data, identify variances, and assist in root cause analysis to keep projects on track.

You will implement financial controls, use EVM, and prepare standardized reports for stakeholders while coordinating with project teams and management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; 5 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and cost/schedule baselines.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains time-phased project cost and resource forecasts and validates project costs.
• Generates and analyzes earned value reports and discusses findings with the project manager.
• Monitors progress and prepares client and internal status reports on cost and schedule status.
• Provides guidance and training to junior staff and may supervise junior engineers.
