Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a results-driven Cost/Project Controller to join our Federal programs team in the United States. You will develop, update, and maintain budgets, forecasts, and cost-control systems to align with contracts and corporate standards.

You will prepare cost estimates, manage the Integrated Master Schedule, perform risk analyses, and report KPIs to stakeholders. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least five years of related experience, U.S.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree.
  • Experience with government budgeting, reporting, FAR, CAS, and contract administration is critical.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cost control systems.
  • Prepare cost and schedule estimates, analyze trends, and provide accruals, earned value, and variance reports.
  • Establish baselines for cost and schedule; identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and ensure progress reporting.
  • Conduct cost/schedule risk analyses and report KPIs, forecasts, and variances.
  • Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and field teams to track progress and manage change orders.
  • Ensure compliance with FAR, CAS, and reporting requirements; support audits and documentation.
