Job summary

The Allentown School District seeks a Director of Federal Programs to lead grant management, compliance, and oversight for Title I and additional federal initiatives. You will drive proposals, post‑award administration, and ensure spending aligns with guidelines.

You will collaborate with administrators, parents, and staff to sustain programs, monitor expenditures, and ensure equitable access for all students under federal funding streams.

Qualifications

• Masters degree with a major in educational leadership, educational supervision, or a related field.
• Minimally five (5) years of successful experience in public education, including central office, elementary or secondary education.
• Experience with ongoing fiscal monitoring of budgets and spending and programmatic compliance of grant guidelines.
• Five (5) years of experience in successful grant proposal writing and grants management preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of grant award life cycle including proposal submission, post award management and administration.
• Prior experience with Title Programs to include compliance and reporting.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with managing time, documentation and competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all aspects of the Grant Award is followed with fidelity.
• Post Award Management and Administration: ensures procurement is followed and monthly reconciliations are done.
• Monitors the effective implementation of all Federal Programs and Grants for compliance.
• Ensures equitable consultations for Non-Public Schools and monitors Non-Public programs.
• Ensures that all purchases utilizing Federal Funds follow procurement process in UGG.
• Writes Requests for Proposals as needed in compliance with Procurement Policies.
• Ensures alignment between federal expenditures and district strategic plans.
• Supervises the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Programs including reporting.
• Monitors Time and Effort Reports of staff paid by Federal Funding.
