Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration or related field.
• Three years of accounting experience with school accounting or grant administration preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with Excel/Word or Google Docs.
• Strong analytical and mathematical aptitude.
• Ability to work in a team and handle confidential information discreetly.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger for grants in accordance with GAAP and district, state, and federal requirements.
• Communicate and ensure compliance with grant regulations and internal policies.
• Meet with grant administrators to review budgets and expenditures.
• Calculate labor distributions and fringe benefits.
• Prepare invoices and cash requests for federal funds.
• Close out grants and file final financial reports.
• Prepare Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (SEFA) for audits.
• Ensure fixed assets purchased with grant funds are tracked and inventoried.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business administration or related field
