Job summary

Jefferson Parish Government's Jefferson Community Actions Programs - Head Start 1010 announces an examination to establish an employment list to fill one current East Jefferson vacancy in the Department of JeffCAP. This list will also be used for future East and West Jefferson vacancies in various Departments as they occur.

Note: Selective certification of eligibles with current and sufficient experience indicating knowledge of policies and procedures unique to JeffCAP will be used in filling

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Plus, approximately six months of clerical experience in a state/federally-funded program.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced clerical and administrative support for Administrators, Coordinators, Administrative Management staff, and other program personnel.
• Prepare, type, edit, and distribute correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, forms, presentations, and other documents from various sources.
• Prepare meeting agendas, materials, minutes and follow-up documentation.
• Answer and screen incoming telephone calls, greet visitors, and provide customer service to clients and partners.
• Assist with participant intake, eligibility screening, application processing, and case management support activities.
