Job summary

Empower AI in the United States is seeking a Purchasing Support and Asset Management Specialist to support IT materials requests, vendor quotes, and compliant purchasing actions for a DoW IT program. The role requires US citizenship and an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain Top Secret if needed, with hybrid work at Fort Meade and remote eligibility.

Travel up to 10% may be expected. You will maintain RIP packages, track procurement lifecycles, and ensure compliance with FAR-like

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2 or more years of related experience (an Associate's degree with 2 years of related experience, or 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree, may be substituted).
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Active Secret Clearance to start (favorably adjudicated T3/T3R).
• Willing to obtain Top Secret eligibility after start if required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze IT materials requests to determine completeness and alignment with pre-approved categories; prepare RIP packages with justifications, quotes, and supporting docs for Government approval.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor quotes; compare pricing, terms, delivery, and compliance; prepare price reasonableness documentation.
• Assess urgency of break/fix and mission-critical requirements; determine when expedited RIP applies; prepare expedited RIPs within 24 hours.
• Analyze bench stock consumption data to determine replenishment needs and prepare consolidated RIPs for Government concurrence.
• Conduct asset management tasks such as inventories, accountability audits, and on-site property management.
• Track RIP actions through the lifecycle; identify delays and risks; maintain RIP tracker for monthly status update.
• Review supplier agreements and license terms; refer non-compliant provisions for analysis prior to purchase.
• Place approved orders, monitor delivery, resolve receiving discrepancies, and assemble invoices/receipts for reimbursement.
• Analyze spending against IT Materials CLIN ceiling; maintain procurement files and suggest SOP improvements.
