Job summary

Vannevar Labs is seeking a Mission Lead to own engagements with federal law enforcement, national security, and intelligence stakeholders. You will translate operational needs into technical requirements, coordinate across Product, Engineering, and Operations, and drive deployments in support of DHS/DOJ missions.

The role requires autonomy in ambiguous environments, strong communication, and the ability to work in Washington, D.C. with periodic travel and secure environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working within or alongside federal law enforcement, intelligence, or national security organizations.
• Strong technical aptitude with experience supporting technology programs or deployments.
• Ability to translate operational needs into clear technical requirements and measurable outcomes.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive outcomes in complex environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with stakeholder management and planning skills.
• Active Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain with U.S. Persons status.
• Experience partnering with Product and Engineering teams to inform development.

Responsibilities

• Lead federal law enforcement mission engagements and build trusted relationships across DHS/DOJ.
• Translate mission needs into actionable plans with clear success metrics and roadmaps.
• Map AI-enabled capabilities to operational workflows and information sharing.
• Own deployments, configure workflows, troubleshoot, and ensure measurable value.
• Shape pilots and pathways to sustained operational adoption.
• Communicate technical value in mission terms to investigators and analysts.
• Drive mission execution through engagements, reviews, and risk mitigation.
• Coordinate cross-functional delivery with Product and Engineering teams.
• Navigate federal processes, security considerations, and acquisition needs.
• Identify adjacent opportunities to broaden impact across agencies.
