Job summary

FSA Federal in Washington, DC, seeks a Law Clerk to support the Money Laundering, Narcotics and Forfeiture Section. Under supervision, you will assist attorneys with the litigation process, review work of paralegals and prepare documents such as motions, briefs and memoranda.

Candidates must be enrolled in ABA-accredited law school (or have a law degree) and possess strong legal research, writing, and communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

  • Law Degree: or currently a student at an ABA-accredited law school with at least one-year completed
  • Experience conducting legal research using various research tools and law library resources
  • Excellent communication skills; oral and written, to include legal writing skills
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of applications, to include databases
  • Ability to work in a team environment, deliver high-quality work under pressure

Responsibilities

  • Under supervision, assists attorneys with the litigation process.
  • Reviews work of paralegals and clerks.
  • Prepares all documents related to the litigation process to include drafting motions, briefs, memoranda of law, etc.
  • Screens documents for privilege.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
