Job summary

Leidos seeks an experienced Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to implement and maintain NIST SP 800-53 controls for CBP applications, including systems hosted in FedRAMP cloud providers. The contractor will support ATO packages, continuous monitoring, and POA&M management to ensure compliance with DHS and CBP security policies.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in security documentation, risk assessment, and incident response, along with excellent writing and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus 8+ years of IT experience.
• Minimum 5 years of ISSO experience with federal information systems.
• Strong writing, communication and critical analysis skills are required.
• Deep understanding of Information Assurance concepts and IT security.
• Working knowledge of NIST/ DHS/ CBP security policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review and endorse information systems security plans and artifacts (SSP, RMF artifacts, POA&Ms).
• Support ATO processes, continuous monitoring and audit readiness for CBP assessments.
• Ensure systems comply with applicable security policies and procedures.
• Assist with vulnerability remediation, patch management and security incident handling.
• Draft cyber security SOPs and playbooks to mature security capabilities.
