Job summary

Leidos in Reston, Virginia is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) CTO to lead cybersecurity oversight for CBP Security Operations Center programs. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 12+ years IT/cybersecurity experience (or 6+ years with a Master’s).
• 5+ years as an ISSO supporting major federal systems.
• Strong systems engineering with cloud computing expertise (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Hands-on AI/ML tools for cybersecurity (anomaly detection, automated risk scoring).
• Knowledge of auditing security controls, risk management, and RMF.

Responsibilities

• Provide cybersecurity oversight for major CBP applications and general support systems.
• Apply ISSO expertise across hybrid environments with cloud platforms and containers.
• Integrate AI/ML security tools into security operations and compliance.
• Develop and maintain security artifacts (SSP, risk assessments, POA&Ms, etc.).
• Ensure systems operate per NIST RMF, DHS policy, and CBP procedures.
• Oversee vulnerability scanning and patch management.
