Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for CBP Security Operations Center responsibilities in the Washington, D.C. area.

The role requires implementing and maintaining NIST SP 800-53 controls across CBP applications, including cloud services, with a focus on ATO packages, continuous monitoring, and audit readiness. Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree, 8+ years in IT security, and 5+ years as an ISSO on federal systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 8+ years in IT security
• Minimum 5 years ISSO experience on federal information systems
• Degree in CS/IT/Cyber Security or equivalent
• Knowledge auditing security controls and financial processes
• Excellent writing, communication and analytical skills
• Deep understanding of IA, IT and information management concepts
• Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-37 Rev. 2, DHS 4300A and CBP security policies

Responsibilities

• Develop, draft, review and endorse information systems security plans and artifacts
• Support security authorization processes and OA program transition
• Assist with vulnerability management, incident handling and patch management
• Provide security expertise for planning and authoring security documentation
