Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) Chief Technology Officer to oversee security for CBP SOC systems. You will manage security plans, risk assessments, and compliance across cloud and hybrid environments, leveraging AI/ML tools for threat detection and governance.

The role requires deep RMF expertise, strong writing and communication skills, and a track record securing federal information systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT; master's preferred.
• 12+ years IT/cybersecurity experience (or 6+ years with a Master's).
• 5+ years as ISSO supporting major federal information systems.
• Strong systems engineering foundation with cloud expertise (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Hands-on AI/ML tools for cybersecurity, such as anomaly detection, automated risk scoring.
• Superior writing, communication, and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of RMF, NIST SP 800-37, and DHS CBP policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide cybersecurity oversight for major CBP applications and general support systems.
• Apply ISSO expertise across hybrid environments, including cloud-native platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform), containerized workloads, and virtualized infrastructure.
• Integrate AI/ML-driven security tools (threat detection, anomaly detection, behavioral analytics, predictive risk modeling) into security operations and compliance frameworks.
• Develop, draft, review and endorse all information systems security plans and other security authorization artifacts and documents.
• Develop, review, maintain, and provide system security documentation for assigned systems, including SSPs, Interconnection Security Agreements, POA&Ms, and waivers.
• Complete all activities required by the DHS OA Program to transition systems into the OA Program and maintain authorization.
