Job summary

TSTC is seeking a contingent Information Systems Security Officer to support a CBP contract. The ISSO will create and maintain security policies, assess risks, and ensure NIST compliance across networks and data handling.

The role requires 4+ years of ISSO experience, a bachelor’s degree, and strong communication skills to coordinate with project teams. Onsite work is in Ashburn, VA, with opportunities for remote options depending on assignment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years as an ISSO on federal systems/applications.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project for planning, tracking, and reporting security tasks.
• Experience coordinating with Project Managers and Product Owners to plan and execute continuous monitoring and security efforts.
• Proven ability to drive security plan changes to maintain NIST compliance.

Responsibilities

• Create, revise, document, and maintain security policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement security plans and compliance documents.
• Assess and monitor programs to preserve data integrity and security.
• Review client security systems and recommend improvements.
• Coordinate with PMs and POs to deconflict security tasks and drive changes.
