Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience with tribal/indigenous education outreach is a plus.
  • Knowledge of outreach to historically underrepresented communities preferred.
  • Familiarity with federal internship programs or workforce development helpful.
  • Experience with CRM and project-management tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing support during internship cycle – outreach and recruitment, application review and selection, housing and stipend processing, coordination and communication during internship experience, and post-internship close out communications.
  • Develop outreach materials and conduct activities to increase interest in student internships and research experiences.
  • Support management of internship applications and assist in assessment processes.
  • Draft internship selection letters and manage communications regarding selection and stipends.
  • Identify and coordinate with potential mentors for internship opportunities.
  • Build relationships with higher education institutions and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate strong coordination, organization, and customer service skills across multiple priorities.
  • Handle sensitive information and adhere to privacy requirements.
  • Collect, validate, organize, analyze, and communicate program data.
  • Develop equitable outreach protocols and templates for underrepresented communities.
  • May be assigned additional duties as needed.
