Guardians of Honor, LLC (GOH) is a small management consulting firm supporting the federal government since 1997 (www.gohnow.com). We are seeking a new team member experienced in STEM Outreach and Engagement and program coordination to support our federal clients.

Summary:

Guardians of Honor, LLC (GOH) seeks an organized, technically capable, and mission-focused Program Coordinator to support education and community outreach programs that connect students, educators, families, and community partners with science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) learning experiences. The Program Coordinator will support outreach planning and delivery, curriculum activities, program administration, community events, facility operations, and a hands-on maker space. The successful candidate will combine strong coordination and customer-service skills with sound judgment, attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work effectively with scientists, engineers, educators, students, parents, and client stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive program administrative support, including student and parent correspondence, scheduling, database management and tracking, metrics reporting, records maintenance, and responses to data calls.
  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of STEM education, community outreach programs, events, and related initiatives.
  • Maintain familiarity with relevant scientific research and emerging technologies and actively engage scientists, engineers, educators, and technical personnel to support program initiatives.
  • Cultivate and leverage relationships with scientists and engineers to identify personnel for community initiatives, career talks, tabling events, laboratory demonstrations, and other outreach activities.
  • Manage daily operations of the designated education and outreach office or program space, maintaining an organized, professional, safe, and mission-ready environment.
  • Routinely communicate basic STEM concepts and support presentations, instruction, demonstrations, and hands‑on activities for students and community audiences.
  • Serve as the technical lead for a STEM maker space.
  • Perform other program‑related duties consistent with the position and organizational needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree with minimum of two (2) years of specialized experience in program coordination, supporting student programs, K-12 and/or higher‑education partnerships, outreach and recruitment, workforce development, or a related area.
  • Experience in either a STEM technical field, or as a STEM educator.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating education, outreach, community engagement, events, youth programs, laboratory or maker‑space activities, or other comparable programs.
  • Must possess strong project coordination, organization, customer service, and follow‑through skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to pass background investigations as required for access to federal facilities and systems; security clearance.
  • Ability to work primarily on‑site, travel to authorized locations, and support occasional Saturday or after‑hours activities when scheduled.
  • Experience with student application portals, applicant‑tracking systems, Salesforce or another CRM, SharePoint, Smartsheet or similar project‑management tools, survey platforms, and virtual‑event technology.
  • Experience in preparing accessible electronic materials and familiarity with Section 508 accessibility practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint; ability to learn applicant‑tracking, customer‑relationship‑management, survey, and project‑management platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare professional correspondence, guidance, reports, presentations, and public‑facing materials.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and personally identifiable information with sound judgment and in accordance with applicable requirements.

Work Environment:

The work environment is a typical on‑site office setting. Location is Aberdeen Proving Ground.

Physical demands:

The physical demands of the job include sitting for extended periods, and occasional walking and standing.

Position type and expected hours of work:

Full‑time exempt position. Typical work hours are Monday-Friday, 40-60 hours per week. Some job activities may be required outside of typical workdays/hours. Overtime may be expected during peak periods or scheduled activities.

20% local and regional travel may be required, with overnight stays necessary
