Steampunk in McLean, VA is seeking an Instructional Designer to build and implement onboarding and training for a federal client. You will collaborate with designers and technical experts to design engaging programs that drive adoption of new systems.

Responsibilities include analyzing training needs, developing materials (videos, guides, gamified content), deploying LMS, tracking usage, and establishing metrics. You will ensure content aligns with ADDIE/Bloom’s/SAM and support governance.

Qualificações

• 4+ years of experience in Education, Training, HR, or related field.
• Thorough knowledge of the full training life cycle and ability to develop and implement training.
• Knowledge of contemporary learning management software platforms.
• Experience with traditional and modern training methods, tools, and techniques.
• Ability to convey complex information in an understandable way.
• Experience collaborating within a multi-disciplinary delivery team (UX/UI, tech, data, engineers, architects, change managers).
• Collaborative with excellent written communication and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with Design Thinking and problem solving with strong analytical skills.
• Experience working in a project-based environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office and database software.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Training and Instructional Design

Responsabilidades

• Outline and understand end users to create training.
• Analyze existing training materials to identify gaps and improvements.
• Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts to structure learning paths.
• Develop interactive training materials across modalities (videos, guides, gamified content).
• Determine use of knowledge checks and compliance tracking.
• Lead training development and delivery.
• Establish metrics and measure user adoption.
• Administer and improve LMS use and feedback loops.
• Plan long-term governance for training programs and materials.
