Overview

As an Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive onboarding and training program in support of our Federal client. You will work as part of a cross‑functional team—including designers and technical experts—engaging with stakeholders and end users to develop an effective approach and ensure adoption of new systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Outline and understand end users to create training appropriate to meet their diverse needs.
• Analyze existing training materials and business processes to identify learning gaps/needs and opportunities for improvement.
• Research appropriate learning content and coordinate with Subject Matter Experts to structure learning paths.
• Develop interactive and engaging training materials using a variety of modalities (videos, user guides, gamified learning, etc.) with learner theories in mind (ADDIE, Bloom's, SAM, etc.) to create dynamic learning experiences.
• Determine utilization of knowledge checks and compliance tracking.
• Lead the training development and delivery.
• Establish metrics and measure user adoption.
• Facilitate learning management system administration, usage, and develop feedback loop for enhancement.
• Consider long‑term governance for sustaining training programs and materials.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a U.S. government Public Trust Security Clearance.
• 4+ years of experience in Education, Training, HR, or related field.
• Thorough knowledge of the full training life cycle and demonstrated ability to develop and implement.
• Knowledge of contemporary learning management software platforms.
• Experience with traditional and modern training methods, tools, and techniques.
• Ability to convey complex information in a way that people understand.
• Experience collaborating within a multi‑disciplinary delivery team including UX/UI designers, technologists, data scientists, engineers, solution architects, and change managers.
• A collaborative nature with excellent written communication and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with Design Thinking and a natural curiosity for solving problems coupled with strong analytical skills.
• Experience working in a project‑based environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office and in database software.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Training and Instructional Design.

• Previous work experience in or with the federal government.
• Previous work experience as a consultant.
