Job summary

Dynamic Systems Technology, Inc. seeks an experienced Federal Human Resources Assistant to support the Coast Guard’s civilian HR office in Washington, DC. The role focuses on processing personnel actions, reviewing records, and ensuring accurate Service Computation Dates.

You will work with EmpowHR and NFC systems, maintain HR files, and resolve pay-processing issues. Remote work is possible with government approval; on-site presence is required for certain tasks.

Qualifications

• At least four years of federal HR support experience.
• Working knowledge of EmpowHR and National Finance Center systems.
• Ability to independently code and process federal personnel actions.
• Knowledge of OPM’s Guide to Processing Personnel Actions.
• Experience reviewing federal personnel records and maintaining HR documentation.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle Privacy Act and security-sensitive information responsibly.
• Ability to complete Government-required background, credentialing, and system-access processes.

Responsibilities

• Independently code and process federal personnel actions per OPM guidance.
• Review Official Personnel Folders and validate Service Computation Dates.
• Process transactions using EmpowHR and National Finance Center.
• Maintain electronic and hard-copy HR files and supporting docs.
• Review and extract personnel information for processing, reporting, and records management.
• Research applicable HR policies and precedents.
• Coordinate with Coast Guard HR to resolve pay-processing issues.
