Job summary

Connexus Hub is seeking Grants Lifecycle Specialists to support federal grants administration for the U.S. Department of Labor.

The role spans pre-award, award, and post-award activities, data validation, and audit resolution, with on-site work in Washington, DC and contingent upon contract award. The successful candidate will manage grant documentation, generate ad-hoc reports, and assist in financial reporting and closeout processes in accordance with agency procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable background investigation and federal credential.
• Federal grants or cooperative agreement experience preferred.
• Familiarity with GrantSolutions, eGrants, ASAP, or comparable systems.
• Working knowledge of 2 CFR Part 200 (Uniform Guidance) preferred.
• Experience with single audit resolution or federal financial reporting preferred.
• Experience handling personally identifiable information (PII) under federal privacy requirements preferred.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Pre-screen grant applications, schedule merit review panels, conduct presentations, and facilitate panel deliberations as directed.
• Input grant data in GrantSolutions, including hard-copy applications.
• Prepare correspondence such as non-responsive, late, welcome, and evaluative feedback.
• Support panel normalization through parallel validation within one day of assignment.
• Develop ad-hoc reports and perform data validation for USASpending reporting.
• Review applications, process revisions, and communicate with applicants.
• Create recipient and grant numbers, upload base award packages, and submit for review/approval.
• Redact PII and confidential info from abstracts and narratives within three business days after award.
• Review budgets and statements of work; prepare modifications within three business days per task.
• Conduct audit resolution activities and ensure proper procedures/regulations.
• Process transmittals of final audits and review documentation from grantees/contractors.
• Prepare determinations for federal management signature; Initial within 60 days, Final within 120 days of final audit date.
• Maintain complete case files and participate in informal resolution.
• Prepare and transmit closeout packages and assist during closeout.
• Verify financial reporting against expenditures in financial systems and rectify deviations.
• Complete reconciliations, certify closeout forms, issue settlement letters, and complete internal certifications.
• Assist in problem solving and prepare reports/analyses for special assignments.
