Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory seeks an intern for the Federal Government Relations team. The intern will provide administrative and research support, with emphasis on government relations activities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are preferred for effective coordination with staff and external stakeholders. The internship offers a 9x80 onsite schedule in the Washington DC office and may qualify for course credit depending on the program.

Qualifications

• Enrolled full-time in an undergrad or master's program in a related field.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA overall.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. (including CPT/OPT).
• Current resume or CV.
• Unofficial transcripts (include current and completed programs).
• Current class schedule and credits.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support meetings for the INL-DC office.
• Welcome and assist office visitors.
• Assist with office reimbursements.
• Attend congressional hearings and summarize key takeaways.
• Track relevant media coverage and legislative activity.
• Complete a semester-long legislative research project with a mentor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
