Job summary

XPECT Solutions, LLC is actively seeking a Badging Technician to support the NIH in Bethesda, MD. The role focuses on identity verification, badge issuance, and managing access within NIH facilities.

You will interact with clients, schedule appointments, and handle badge lifecycle tasks in secure government systems. The position requires working scheduled shifts Monday through Friday, a background check, and a Tier 5 investigation.

Qualifications

• Background check and Tier 5 investigation required.
• Must be able to work Monday–Friday shifts (7:30am-4:30pm or 8:00am-5:00pm).
• Proficient with MS Office programs (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Verify identity and proofing with government photo IDs.
• Fingerprint clients for background checks.
• Issue NIH health and safety badges (PIV and Legacy) and capture photos for Legacy badges.
• Manage and operate badge-related databases (PACSIS, BITS, EWS, NED, CIS).
• Greet, assist and respond to client inquiries by phone or email about issuance.
• Schedule appointments in BITS and deactivate badges as needed.
• Assist with PIN resets and badge certificate updates.
• Coordinate badge activation on NIH campus with security teams.
