Job summary

The Building People is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to support a secure federal O&M program in Northern Virginia, handling doors, locks, hardware, carpentry, plumbing, lighting, and general building systems maintenance. Responsibilities include responding to service calls, preventive maintenance, and maintaining records in a mission-critical facility.

Requirements include experience in facilities maintenance, ability to work with hand/power tools, and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting commercial, industrial, institutional, or federal facilities maintenance operations.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and perform repairs.
• Maintain maintenance records and service call documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs on doors, locks, lighting, plumbing, carpentry, painting.
• Respond to service calls and conduct preventive maintenance per schedule.
• Maintain maintenance records and support secure TS/SCI environments.
