Job summary

Government Contracting Resources, Inc. seeks a General Maintenance Worker to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and related systems at Fort Meade.

Candidate will respond to service requests, document work in CMMS, and ensure safety and compliance while supporting trades personnel. This on-site role requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain facility access.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of facility maintenance experience.
• Ability to use CMMS software.
• Ability to read and follow instructions.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required installation and facility access.

Responsibilities

• Performs general preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, adjustment, and minor repair of facility equipment and building systems.
• Performs basic HVAC maintenance and repairs, including changing air filters, cleaning coils and drain pans, replacing belts, inspecting equipment, and reporting deficiencies.
• Performs basic plumbing maintenance and repairs, including repairing or replacing faucets, flush valves, toilet components, and other fixtures.
• Inspects and maintains door hardware and locking systems.
• Inspects and operates snow removal equipment and performs related tasks.
• Documents and reports missing or deficient fire extinguishers and other safety equipment.
• Maintains CMMS work orders and documents labor, materials, and repairs.
