Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Electronic Security Technician for the FEMA Headquarters and other FEMA sites in Washington, DC. The role involves installing and servicing ESS, including access control, CCTV and alarm systems, with travel as needed.

You will work on SoftwareHouse C-Cure 9000, Bosch BVMS and Radionics, coordinate with authorities, train end users, and support design reviews. A DoD Secret clearance is required (active within 2 years preferred).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with commercial/industrial security systems (low voltage).
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, specs and manuals.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Able to use hand and power tools safely.
• Active DoD Secret clearance (or active within 2 years), TS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and service ESS including access control, intrusion, CCTV and recording systems.
• Install, troubleshoot devices per codes and guidelines.
• Assist with system design, setup and programming.
• Conduct testing to ensure proper operation.
• Coordinate installations with police/fire departments and handle emergency notifications.
• Provide end-user training and knowledge transfer.
