Job summary

Olsson seeks an Associate Electrical Engineer to join our Federal Engineering and Design Team. You will help design electrical systems for federal facilities, gaining exposure to UFC, DoD, and VA requirements, and developing expertise in power distribution, lighting, and life safety.

You will work with licensed engineers to learn standards and best practices. This role offers hands-on design experience, opportunities to travel to project sites, and collaboration across disciplines to deliver

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a concentration in power.
Minimum of one year of engineering experience or internship.
EIT certification or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.
Familiarity with NEC and building electrical systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist in the design of electrical systems for federal facilities, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, communications, and life safety systems.
Perform calculations, layouts, and equipment selections under licensed engineers.
Develop knowledge of codes, standards, and industry practices.
Use Revit, AutoCAD, SKM, AGi32 for modeling and analysis.
Coordinate with mechanical, civil, structural, and architectural teams.
