Job summary

Skydio is seeking a Solutions Engineer to lead technical discovery and implementation for federal customers. You will align customer requirements with Skydio specifications, own demonstrations, and guide deployments from concept to deployment.

You will work with product, engineering, and sales teams to win deals, support RFIs/RFPs, and shape the federal go-to-market strategy. Travel up to 50% and eligibility for security clearance are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in a technical role related to UAVs or defense.
• Experience with federal contracting validation exercises.
• Strong written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to interface with product, engineering and sales teams.
• Citizenship in the United States and eligibility for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and customer demonstrations (POCs and field trials).
• Validate systems and drive customer implementations to deployment.
• Provide SME input on federal contracting processes and security requirements.
• Support RFIs and RFPs with technical writing and responses.
• Inform product roadmap through customer feedback and federal needs.
