CDM Smith is seeking a cost estimator to support federal projects in the United States. You will develop detailed cost estimates, analyze bids, and maintain cost databases to ensure accuracy and compliance with FAR and CAS requirements.

You will collaborate with project teams, support value engineering, and prepare documentation for government reviews. This pipeline role emphasizes rigorous analysis and effective communication across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of relevant cost estimating experience.
• Willingness to travel domestically or internationally.

Responsabilités

• Prepare detailed, discipline-specific cost estimates using industry-standard tools.
• Analyze cost proposals, bids and change orders for FAR/DFARS compliance.
• Develop cost models, databases and historical data for accuracy.
• Coordinate with project managers and engineers to align cost with scope.
• Support value engineering and prepare justification documentation.
• Evaluate risk and contingency requirements for complex projects.
• Contribute to budget development and IGEs for government reviews.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and design reviews.
