Job summary

HRB is seeking a detail-oriented Government Contract Billing Specialist in Arlington, VA with hybrid work options. You will manage federal contract invoicing, reconciliations, and accounts receivable processes to ensure accurate billing and timely collections.

Responsibilities include preparing invoices for CPFF, T&M, and FFP contracts, reconciling balances, and supporting revenue recognition and closeouts. Strong Excel skills and knowledge of FAR regulations are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of government contract billing experience.
• Hands-on experience with Deltek Costpoint, WAWF and Cognos.
• Strong understanding of federal contract billing requirements.
• Experience with accounts receivable, reconciliations, and invoice processing.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit invoices for CPFF, T&M, FFP, and other government contract types.
• Reconcile billed and unbilled balances and support revenue recognition activities.
• Monitor accounts receivable and assist with collections efforts.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries.
• Support contract closeouts, final invoicing, and month-end billing activities.
• Partner with project managers, contracts, and accounting teams to ensure billing accuracy and compliance.
